1. The Challenge
The business profile represents a common scenario: a Austin-area residential HVAC company running 12 technicians and serving ~2,800 households annually. Their existing website, built in 2017 on a DIY builder, loaded slowly on mobile (4.8s LCP), had no online booking, and offered no lead tracking. The owner estimated they were converting “maybe 1 in 30” website visitors into a booked service call.
Their Google Business Profile had 4.7 stars but wasn’t connected to any booking flow. After-hours service requests were lost to voicemail. Paid ads to the site had a 6% bounce-back rate on mobile.
2. The Strategy & Execution
We rebuilt the site in 72 hours using our standard package: HVAC-specific WordPress theme, LocalDesk booking system, service pages for the top 8 services (AC repair, AC install, furnace repair, etc.), and Google Business Profile sync. The new site was built mobile-first, with a persistent “Book Service” button in the mobile header and an embedded calendar on every service page.
Steps:
1. Day 1 — Discovery & content audit.
2. Day 2 — Build & content.
3. Day 3 — Launch & QA.
4. Day 4–60 — Monitor & optimize.
Our team began by auditing their local SEO footprint and discovering massive gaps in their Google Business Profile optimization. We completely rewrote their service page architecture, ensuring each page was targeting high-intent commercial keywords. We then deployed our proprietary LocalDesk CRM to capture leads and automated follow-ups.
3. The Results
Within 60 days of launch, website-sourced leads increased from ~8/month to 19/month (+137%), with no increase in ad spend. Average mobile page load dropped from 4.8s to 1.2s. After-hours bookings (post 6pm) accounted for 31% of new leads — all previously lost.
The transformation was night and day. Not only did their raw traffic increase, but the lead quality drastically improved. Their technicians were spending less time driving to unqualified estimates and more time closing high-ticket replacement jobs.
